Volleyball Recap: Wayland Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayland Academy can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Dodgeland Trojans on Tuesday. The Big Red just can't catch a break and have now endured 26 losses in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-5, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Kayden Denure, who had 22 assists and four digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight contests.

Wayland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-28. As for Dodgeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season.

Wayland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dodgeland, they will square off against Oakfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
