Basketball Recap: Ennis Takes a Loss

Ennis lost against Corsicana back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ennis Lions took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corsicana Tigers. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Ennis' loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Corsicana, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ennis will venture away from home to take on Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Ennis likes a good challenge. As for Corsicana, they will head out to square off against Crandall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
