Softball Game Preview: Coldwater Cavaliers vs. Crestview Knights

The Coldwater Cavaliers will be taking part in a tournament against the Crestview Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Coldwater fell victim to Anna and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cavaliers have suffered since March 31st.

Meanwhile, Crestview earned a 6-3 win over Wayne Trace on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Dakota Thornell, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ayla Kreischer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Coldwater's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Crestview, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.

Coldwater got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2021 against Crestview by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
