Central are taking a road trip to take on Jurupa Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Calexico, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Spartans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Nico Viesca spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Central is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Acuna, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Silverio Bobadilla also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Jurupa Hills entered their tilt with San Gorgonio on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past San Gorgonio 10-1. Considering Jurupa Hills has won nine games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Casey Ard made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Toscano, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaden Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Jurupa Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Jurupa Hills' record is now 14-4. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jurupa Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
