Softball Recap: East Poinsett County's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

It was a good run, but East Poinsett County unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 9-5 to the Riverside Rebels. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

East Poinsett County's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Riverside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

East Poinsett County has already played their next match, a 12-2 win against Paragould on the 8th. As for Riverside, they will head out to square off against Tuckerman at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
