Softball Recap: McEwen Warriors vs. East Hickman County Eagles
McEwen made up a huge gap compared to their last game against East Hickman County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-0 victory on Monday. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.

Ava Lastovka was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, McEwen got a big performance out of Laila Downs-Darden, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Tylee Tummins was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
