Plainfield East has gone a perfect 10-0 against Joliet Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bengals will challenge the Steelmen at 4:30 p.m. Joliet Central took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainfield East, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Plainfield East sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Downers Grove South.

Avery Welsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaleigh Cawthon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against Joliet West, falling 15-0.

Plainfield East's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Joliet Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-23.

Everything went Plainfield East's way against Joliet Central in their previous matchup back in April, as Plainfield East made off with a 32-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
