Maud lost against Como-Pickton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tori Loyed made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Audrey Hillis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Maud's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Como-Pickton, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-7.

While Maud had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
