Fuquay - Varina and Willow Spring are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. Fuquay - Varina will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Willow Spring at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Fuquay - Varina came up short against Garner and fell 12-7. The loss continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Willow Spring finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 5-2 to Cleveland. The game marked the Storm's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Willow Spring saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Howard, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Carly Simon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Willow Spring moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Fuquay - Varina, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Fuquay - Varina couldn't quite get it done against Willow Spring when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can Fuquay - Varina avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
