Volleyball Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Space Coast on Monday, Titusville came back down to earth. The Terriers fell just short of the Satellite Scorpions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Terriers have struggled against the Scorpions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Titusville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-7.

Lily Wood paced Titusville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wood got some help from Zoe Silva and her 16 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Titusville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Satellite, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Titusville will take on Cocoa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Satellite, they will challenge Rockledge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
