Dynamic duo of Esther Archibald and Elizabeth Archibald lead Heartland to victory

Recap: Heartland Mustangs vs. El Dorado Christian Buffalos

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Heartland Mustangs's strategy against the El Dorado Christian Buffalos on Monday. Heartland strolled past El Dorado Christian with points to spare, taking the game 44-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heartland.

Leading Heartland to victory were Esther Archibald and Elizabeth Archibald. Archibald scored 17 points, while Archibald scored 19 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Archibald has scored at least a third of Heartland's points.

El Dorado Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being McKenzie Cole, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Breann Reasoner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Heartland pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for El Dorado Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Heartland will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Plaza Heights Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for El Dorado Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Overland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Overland Christian is facing El Dorado Christian at the right time seeing as El Dorado Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
