Football Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt and Middle College squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Humboldt had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 42-8. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

Humboldt now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Middle College, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Humboldt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middle College, they will take on Eagleville on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.3 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
