            Softball Recap: Hackensack Comets vs. Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Hackensack). They were the clear victors by  a  16-5 margin over the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders on Saturday. With that  victory, the Comets brought their scoring average up to 7.8  runs per game.
 Briana Darling and  Giada Oates did most of the damage at the plate:  Darling  scored four  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances, while  Oates  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. Darling has been hot for a while, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last 12 times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Janae Neal, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.

 Hackensack  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .610. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Hackensack's win bumped their record up to 2-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackensack will welcome Ramapo  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Dwight Morrow, they will face off against Cliffside Park at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday.
