Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Bishop Eustace Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gloucester Catholic Rams on Friday. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Bishop Eustace Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dante Matarese, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Matarese's first of the season.

Bishop Eustace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Gloucester Catholic, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.
