Baseball Recap: Destin Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Destin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Blountstown Tigers 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sharks have posted since February 22, 2024.

Caleb Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Palmer Robbins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Destin's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Blountstown, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
