Softball Game Preview: Severn Run Wolves vs. Arundel Wildcats

The Severn Run Wolves will square off against the Arundel Wildcats at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Severn Run has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Severn Run came up short against Northeast last Thursday, falling 18-1. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Arundel waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Marriotts Ridge a 10-0 shutout. Give the Wildcats' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Arundel's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Severn Run, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
