Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bettendorf, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The River Kings fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the River Kings in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Bettendorf, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Clinton by a score of 11-0 later that day.
