Football Recap: Elkmont Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Elkmont extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were beaten by the Rogers Pirates 62-28. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 35-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Cooper Wales and Reid Bardos certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wales picked up 248 receiving yards and three scores, while Bardos threw for 356 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, Wales is now averaging an impressive 101 receiving yards per game. A healthy portion of Bardos' aerial production (85 yards to be exact) also went to Owen Burgess, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

As for Rogers, they now have a winning record of 5-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Nicholas Grigsby, who rushed for 245 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one TD. C.J. Davis was another major influence, as he rushed for 48 yards and ran in a TD.

Elkmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 59-32 loss against Ardmore on the 30th. As for Rogers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 38-28 defeat against Lexington on the 30th.
