Baseball Recap: North Fort Myers Victorious

North Fort Myers lost to Estero back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Red Knights came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Knights.

Harrison Kabel looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caedon Conn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Velez Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

North Fort Myers' victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Estero, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

North Fort Myers and Estero are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Red Knights will square off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. North Fort Myers is facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Estero, they will head out on the road to face off against Bonita Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
