Volleyball Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center lost against Custer County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 25-21 in the first set.

Center started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-20.

Center's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Custer County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Center will challenge Del Norte at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Custer County, they will square off against Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
