Football Recap: West Warriors vs. Torrance Tartars
West fell victim to Torrance and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Torrance Tartars. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Tartars are ranked 56th).
Torrance found their leader in underclassman Madison Schepp, who threw for 169 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards on only eight carries. Jennah Black did her part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 51 receiving yards.
West is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. As for Torrance, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
