Baseball Recap: Northshore's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Northshore had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the John Curtis Christian Patriots. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 9-2 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2016.

The team relied heavily on Derek Weilbaecher, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Kole Brackman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first hit of the season.

Northshore's record is now 4-1-1. As for John Curtis Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
