Baseball Recap: Father Lopez Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Father Lopez's offense. They came up short against the Atlantic Sharks on Thursday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Green Wave's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Father Lopez's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Atlantic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coming up, Father Lopez will look to defend their home field on Friday against University at 6:00 p.m. University will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Father Lopez surely won't give up without a fight. As for Atlantic, they will head out to take on Matanzas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Matanzas' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
