The Deerfield Beach Bucks will take on the Coral Springs Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deerfield Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Deerfield Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Fort Lauderdale with a sharp 11-3 win. The Bucks have beaten the Flying L's the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Flying L's has come to flipping the script.

Joseph Yastine tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Easton Viveros was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Joseph Hendren was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.

Deerfield Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Coral Springs never let their opponents score on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Olympic Heights 2-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Coral Springs also got a great performance from Angelo Painter as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Painter a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ruben Zuany, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Coral Springs is undefeated when Zuany posts two or more stolen bases, but 8-14 otherwise.

Coral Springs' victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Deerfield Beach, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Deerfield Beach came up short against Coral Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Can the Bucks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
