League recap: Salem winning streak up to six games

Salem (16-3, 8-2) has won six games in a row, Section 2 Adirondack - East's longest active win streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, including a 9-4 win over Loudonville Christian.

Fort Ann currently sits at the top of the league with a mark of 19-3 overall and 11-0 in the league. Salem sits 2.5 games back in second, with an 8-2 record in league play.

Fort Edward boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Flying Forts have allowed just 160 hits, while striking out 124 batters. Sean Morency leads the Flying Forts with 42 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched.
