South Sioux City came into Thursday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Bryan Bears on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Keyana Weaver, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since September 2nd. Payton Derochie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

South Sioux City picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-20. As for Bryan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

South Sioux City has already played their next matchup, a 13-1 defeat against Bennington on the 27th. As for Bryan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
