Baseball Game Preview: Gila Ridge Hawks vs. Paradise Valley Trojans

The Gila Ridge Hawks will take on the Paradise Valley Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gila Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Gila Ridge will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Valley Vista on Monday. Everything went Gila Ridge's way against Valley Vista as Gila Ridge made off with a 13-7 win.

Raul Vega looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Meanwhile, Paradise Valley fell victim to Sunrise Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Mustangs. The Trojans have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gila Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
