Baseball Game Preview: Lake Placid Dragons vs. St. Albans Bulldogs

The Lake Placid Dragons will take on the St. Albans Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Placid will be strutting in after a win while St. Albans will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Lake Placid needed a bit of extra time to put away Clewiston. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Eddy Tinajero, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, St. Albans came up short against Avon Park on Monday and fell 8-5.

St. Albans also got a good showing from Preston Benner, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Lucas Young was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, St. Albans kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avon Park only managed seven hits.

Lake Placid's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for St. Albans, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
