Baseball Game Preview: East Mecklenburg Eagles vs. Providence Panthers

East Mecklenburg hasn't had much luck against Providence recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. East Mecklenburg has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Mecklenburg is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 16-5 to Providence.

East Mecklenburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Liam Parsons was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Providence pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for East Mecklenburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
