Recap: Wisner-Pilger Gators vs. Oakland-Craig Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Wisner-Pilger Gators, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They suffered a tough 64-44 defeat at the hands of Oakland-Craig on Thursday. Wisner-Pilger lost against Oakland-Craig in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-53 score last time.
It was another big night for Braylon Anderson, who scored 30 points along with five assists for Oakland-Craig. That makes it six consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least 25% of Oakland-Craig's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Meyer, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Wisner-Pilger bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Oakland-Craig, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wisner-Pilger won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wayne on December 15th. Wayne has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three contests. As for Oakland-Craig, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
