Softball Recap: Sherwood Warriors vs. Damascus Hornets
If Sherwood was riding high off their 12-2 takedown of Walter Johnson back in March, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sherwood Warriors suffered a tough 10-2 loss at the hands of the Damascus Hornets on Saturday. Sherwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Damascus apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For Damascus' part, Alyssa Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
