Baseball Game Preview: Camden Central Lions vs. Waverly Central Tigers

For the second straight game, Camden Central will face off against Waverly Central. The Lions will venture away from home to take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Camden Central's offense. They came up short against Waverly Central on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Camden Central got a good showing from Axel Mansfield, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Mansfield hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April of 2024.

Waverly Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Camden Central, they moved to 5-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
