Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Free State Takes a Loss

Lawrence Free State lost against Blue Valley North back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Firebirds took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Lawrence Free State was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.

Anniston Clark paced Lawrence Free State's offense, picking up nine kills. Clark got some help from Tesssa Nover-Estes and her 13 assists. Annika Lintecum controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lawrence Free State's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Blue Valley North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Lawrence Free State has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Lee's Summit on the 13th. As for Blue Valley North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Blue Valley Northwest on the 13th.
