Volleyball Game Preview: Silas Rams vs. North Thurston Rams + How To Watch

Silas hasn't had much luck against North Thurston recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Silas extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Sonja Strom. The Rams walked away with a 3-1 win over Capital on Thursday for which the team can thank Strom, who had 14 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

The victory didn't come easy: Capital scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Meanwhile, North Thurston got the win against Mount Tahoma on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the T-Birds: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant North Thurston was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-11.

Silas' record now sits at 7-5. As for North Thurston, their record is now 17-0.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's matchup: Silas has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like North Thurston struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Silas suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Thurston when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can Silas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
