Cortland's game on Saturday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They put the hurt on the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles with a sharp 70-46 victory. The Purple Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Cortland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Michales, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 boards gave Michales a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Gambitta, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Cortland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Cortland's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
