Basketball Recap: Gholson Takes a Loss

Gholson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jonesboro Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Gholson this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-52 back in January.

Gholson's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Jonesboro, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Gholson will square off against Aquilla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jonesboro, they will take on Abbott at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Abbott will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Jonesboro surely won't give up without a fight.
