Basketball Recap: Benjamin Davis Comes Up Short

Benjamin Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Spring Lions at home by a 54-40 margin. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Spring's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Pittman, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points and seven boards. That's the most points Pittman has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylan Tran, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Benjamin Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Spring, they moved to 11-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Benjamin Davis will head out to challenge Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Benjamin Davis is facing Dekaney at the right time seeing as Dekaney is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Spring has already played their next game (against Eisenhower), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
