Softball Game Preview: Logan Chieftains vs. Sheridan Generals

The Logan Chieftains will square off against the Sheridan Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Logan has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lancaster hit Logan with a seven-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chieftains came up short against the Golden Gales, falling 12-2. The Chieftains haven't had much luck with the Golden Gales recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Logan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Rutter, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Rutter is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Sheridan suffered their closest defeat since April 6th on Friday. They fell just short of Danville by a score of 6-4.

Sheridan's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Logan might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Sheridan in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
