Volleyball Recap: Colby Gets the Win

Colby won the last time they faced Wausau East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hornets came out on top against the Lumberjacks by a score of 2-0.

While Colby won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 28-26.

Daelyn Rieck paced Colby's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rieck got some help from Zoe Kaiser and her 12 assists. Kaiser was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

The win got Colby back to even at 13-13. As for Wausau East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Colby has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against White Lake on the 27th. As for Wausau East, they will challenge D.C. Everest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
