Baseball Recap: Seguin Comes Up Short

Centennial hit Seguin with a 12-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars lost 17-3 to the Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Tuesday.

Seguin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Boudreaux, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Seguin has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Centennial, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seguin will take on Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will host Dallas Jesuit at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
