Basketball Recap: Grosse Pointe South Gets the Win

Grosse Pointe South won the last time they faced Port Huron Northern and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Port Huron Northern Huskies.

Grosse Pointe South now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Port Huron Northern, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Grosse Pointe South will look to defend their home court on Saturday against St. Mary's at 8:30 a.m. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Grosse Pointe South likes a good challenge. As for Port Huron Northern, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
