DeSales faced St. Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Colts fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

St. Xavier can attribute much of their success to Josh Walsh, who had ten assists and five aces. Those five aces gave Walsh a new career-high.

DeSales' loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for St. Xavier, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-1.

Coming up, DeSales will head out to challenge Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Xavier, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Ryle on the 19th.
