Basketball Recap: Jaxson Konen Key Part of Team Effort in Redskins Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Little River walked away with it. They came out on top against the Crest Lancers by a score of 48-39 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Little River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxson Konen, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Logan Renken, who posted 12 points.

Konen wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Little River was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. Little River is 10-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Little River's record now sits at 14-7. As for Crest, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5.

Coming up, Little River will challenge Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oxford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.8 points per game this season. Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
