Basketball Recap: American Heritage's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Spanish River the last time they met, American Heritage decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The American Heritage Stallions secured a 35-29 W over the Spanish River Sharks on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jayden Presser continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 18 points.

Spanish River lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emma Feinstein, who posted nine points and five steals. Ellie Neuman was another key player, posting seven points in addition to 18 rebounds and six assists.

American Heritage pushed their record up to 7-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Spanish River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

American Heritage will head out to face off against Grandview Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grandview Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully American Heritage likes a good challenge. As for Spanish River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 28-23 win against Santaluces on the 30th.
