Basketball Recap: Patapsco's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Patapsco can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They secured a 32-28 W over the Overlea Falcons. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Patapsco's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trinity Burk led the charge by putting up eight points and four steals. What's more, Burk also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Caitlyn McBride was another key player, earning eight points and 11 boards.

Patapsco's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Overlea, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6-1.

Patapsco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-19 loss against Carver A&T on the 17th. Overlea has also already played their next game (against Western Tech & Environmental Science), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
