Soccer Recap: King's Fork Takes a Loss

King's Fork lost against Grassfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, King's Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Grassfield are ranked 14th).

King's Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for Grassfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, King's Fork will be playing in front of their home fans against Oscar Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. King's Fork will be up against Oscar Smith's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.9 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Grassfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
