Volleyball Recap: Cannon Falls Comes Up Short

Cannon Falls was the 3-2 winner over Pine Island when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bombers fell 3-1 to the Panthers on Tuesday. While the Bombers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-16 in the first set.

Cannon Falls started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Cannon Falls still got an impressive performance from Katie Tipton, who had 28 digs and four assists. Tipton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Cannon Falls' loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Pine Island, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-7.

As of now, neither Cannon Falls nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
