Bonny Eagle extended their winning streak to eight on Saturday, bumping them up to 10-2. They came out on top against the Massabesic Mustangs by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Scots also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2025.

Bella Hanson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reese Bryant was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Madison Weeks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

As for Massabesic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Massabesic's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ada Tassinari, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bonny Eagle is set to take on their familiar foe Westbrook at 6:30 p.m. on June 1. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Scots 2.7, the Blue Blazes 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Massabesic will challenge rival Kennebunk at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
