Basketball Recap: James Kenan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southeast Alamance over Northwood

Southeast Alamance suffered their biggest defeat since March 5, 2024 on Monday. They lost 72-51 to the Northwood Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Kenan, who went 6 for 10 to rack up 14 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Kenan a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Mcadoo, who posted 13 points.

Northwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chad Graves, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Graves is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cam Fowler, who went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Southeast Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Northwood, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Southeast Alamance has already played their next match, a 63-33 win against Jordan-Matthews on the 31st. As for Northwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-45 victory against Bartlett Yancey on the 28th.
