Softball Game Preview: Newport Harbor Sailors vs. San Juan Hills Stallions

The Newport Harbor Sailors will face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Newport Harbor nor San Juan Hills posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Newport Harbor's offense. They lost 10-0 to Fountain Valley on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Sailors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Newport Harbor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cora Jordan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills suffered their closest defeat since March 27th on Thursday. They fell just short of El Toro by a score of 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Newport Harbor and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for San Juan Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
